Description
It is 456 in the Age of Our Glorious Lur-Maison Republique. Though “Glorious” and “Our” are debatable.
Gustav Mychele is man with a lot of thoughts. A disillusioned former member of the leftist Zyedni Party, his home city of Djaraine is in slow-motion decay as the Republique it once was apart of crumbles around them. He does odds and ends, detective work, finding missing persons, that sort thing — and one day a wealthy celebrity from the insular Arcology in the city walks into his office to find her missing twin brother.
This sets off a chain of events that will touch every corner of the city. Anarchist groups, fascist outfits, cults, the city government and the empire that still pretends to lay claim to it, all have a part to play. All while visions — or hallucinations — of a cosmic Hand appear to hundreds of Djaraine’s residents, right before they go missing.
This is BOOK ONE of a (semi-)monthly serialized zine.
